My 5 grader is in a public school in PA. We just got a letter that they are doing a health class on HIV/ STD’s. They haven’t even learned about actually SEX at this age. I reached out to the nurse whose hands are tired. She said that they aren’t aloud to answer ANY QUESTIONS THAT THE KIDS ASK DURING THIS LESSON. Only teach. No questions will be answered.

I have a 16yr old... And when this dumming came I asked my son how he felt and what he thought? Just a look at his expressions said it all but again I home schooled during the pandemic and it was an opportunity to give my son to not be influenced to discover himself and truly express his own thinking we had many conversations as I would share my views on social subject and give him a space to express his... It would have been funny if I would of stop the conversation if I would have said I was offended 😂
I'm just glad he had a little chance to develop his own thinking which I encouraged . Today back in school I'm not worry he will be influenced by the dumming of education... ❤
