@TheTonyTitan Says:
Nobody uses pen and paper for report writing these days. That's nuts
@Thomas-em9du Says:
And they wonder why nobody wants to be a police officer 😂😂
@danieldenlar4209 Says:
I guess it cant hurt ride a longs.
@Timpon_Dorz Says:
And after they cut more funding.
@floorfan7987 Says:
This should be mandatory for all city councils in every city
@Keraejis Says:
Technology means the police needs funding. There are plenty of people who don't want to be involved and won't give officer information they need if they will be noted about 'officially'. I mean a guy might tell the officer 'he ran that way' normally but if that same person now has to give their name, address, where they were when they saw the... you get what I mean... they won't do it anymore.
@Tobstertacoma Says:
No need to "defund" the police just make it miserable for them to do there job and they will quit and no one will want to join as well!!
@2ingrams Says:
Any news on how the vote whent?
@CD-vb9fi Says:
Body Cams already create "sufficient documentation". In fact, there needs to be a new law... when an officer approaches you... there should be a "visual sign" that they are recording the interaction. If they are NOT recording the interaction... then the cop should be classified as being "off duty" can can be "safely ignored" by any citizen and treated like any other citizen. But when it is on... then Citizens must observe them in the capacity of "Law Enforcement". Additionally, all court cases must always show the full interaction with the police from start to the end without any interruptions. If at any point a break in the video occurs then it shall be grounds for immediate exoneration of the accused. Police have more than proven they are ready and willing to be every bit as criminal as they criminals they claim to be keep society safe from.
@djangellounge Says:
Well I am looking at the Long Game that the Darkones have moved into place as nothing is Random... the theory I am going with is that ultimately the Goal is to removed police--replaced with UN Police or Military Order given all these immigrants who are also being put into military I will also surmise that with all these Apartments and Storage facilities going up near Blue State Cities goal is to Tax/Insurance the shit out of folks to the point they have to give up their homes to then move into a Tiny Home space meaning Apartments-as to why these shows are trying to make it sound Great despite to go along with Klaus Swab statement "You Will Have Nothing and Be Happy" then add electric cars with limited distance-more of a trap so you cant escape
@Rkbmomma Says:
So, what about the body cameras capturing all this info? If they want all this data, then someone can review and capture all the data from their cameras. Boy, the redundancy is abounding. They really don't want cops to do their jobs.
@JeanneTobin Says:
Is NYC buying all these cell phones they want used?
@S.-.V Says:
They should have sent them with individual officers, without the media... This was useless and just to put on a show.
@Dmiller7239 Says:
That's NOT a ride along. That's a dam parade. Pull a full shift with the officers.
@bawyondaime6356 Says:
When was the last time these council members documented every public interaction especially open forums and town hall meetings? Asking for a friend.
@shauntacreswell577 Says:
Wait if officers don’t have to tell you why they pulled you over. What’s the point of pulling over? That doesn’t sound right at all. But OK.
@HoneyBeeCrafts Says:
I personally would like to talk to my phone. I can get all my details out as fast as I can think them. If I’m writing them down, my brain is not only trying to concentrate on the events that I’ve witnessed but also writing. Talking and making noises from your mouth for communication is natural. Mother Nature gave that to you. Writing is something learned/adapted to. I have adhd, so I need to spit it out quickly before my brain chases another imaginary butterfly lol. Then I would need a notebook, the recording, a final paper, pen, pencil, and a quiet space with NO interruption. I don’t care about anyone else, that’s just me, I’d be for that. I find writing a witness statement to be intimidating as I do not want to forget a detail and I feel I’ll get something wrong while thinking. Avoid low IQ comments please. There are levels of intimidation and everyone has some form of anxiety about different things. I’m just a fellow commenter. Nothing nice to say, then move on. Don’t waste your time because I won’t.
@VO_Lego Says:
In Colorado, another communist state. We have the same thing. It’s called stop data. The issue is, they only want to keep track of negative stuff. Why don’t they care about de escalation or crisis’ intervention? It does cause big issue with time. Each person you talk to takes an extra 5-10 min. So it is a giant waste and it adds an extra unnecessary step. One of the many reasons why I’m resigning. It’s just not worth the liability to be a cop.
@ralfie8801 Says:
If the councilman has lived in NYC long enough to get elected to the council, then his car with Georgia plates is unregistered. He’s also breaking New York’s vehicle registration laws by failing to register his vehicle in New York within 30 days of moving into the state of New York. The cop had several violations to write up and he failed to do so.
@joesolis2 Says:
To LEOs or former LEOs: is there a tactical reason for not informing a person why they were pulled over or interacted with?
@christopherstimpson6540 Says:
They are documented with body cameras.
@andrewdavid9412 Says:
';m a hardcore conservative, but the American being vandalized and turned into a police PR advertisement makes me want to throw up.
@Hurricane9146 Says:
Honestly, the police SHOULD be telling you why you were pulled over immediately. Honest cops should have no problem and want to do that. Be informed on your rights
@dellyshoppe4 Says:
ABL. the officer IS definitely required to tell you why they pull you over.
@scottjohnson7780 Says:
I thought the cameras were supposed to take a lot of this non-officer work hours out of the equation.
@mikemeeks8436 Says:
So, this is just another reason why cops will quit. I think that's what the democrats want crime in the streets. What happens when all the cops are backed up on stupid paperwork and a call comes in for a major crime??? The cop is now required to fill out a ton of paperwork. They simply won't have time to answer the call and fill out the extra paperwork for the next major crime they responded to. The police union is gonna shut this down. I can't see a safe legal situation that requires cops to work 16-hour days or more every day.
@kalikaputra Says:
They want to cramp the police even more to make chaos.
@yourmom10269 Says:
the commies are trying to dismantle the local police... they have something very sinister waiting in the wings... their solution to the problem they created................
@TheBaumcm Says:
Having lived in the greater NYC area, part of community compliance and having a good relationship between police and the community is developing rapport by speaking and interacting on a regular basis. They are most often just regular folks trying to get a very complicated job done, and this will increase the isolation and separation between police and communities.
@BmovinzFirstorlast Says:
If a officer is not required to tell you why they are pulling you over isn’t that like throwing away probable cause so they can just pull you over just to have a awkward interaction mmm ok
@nicholasbcleghorn8008 Says:
Ridiculous.
@Klaatu731 Says:
Buttholes don’t care how much extra work is involved. This is their chance to throw their weight around and pander to the woke crowd. Since they don’t have to do the work they most likely will not have sympathy for the cops.
@rvierra7235 Says:
Why bother? Those woke liberal pieces of trash are a waste.
@vanhausen2603 Says:
They don't already have body cams
@jacobgill4808 Says:
Why don't they just go to body cameras that don't shut off and then city council could sit there and watch all the footage if they want
@eudaenomic Says:
I wonder how he said I am "Councilman Yousef Salaam". I suspect he had expectations of a specific response after he identified himself, most politicians do as if they are above the law. I personally would have issued a warning citation. In most states, having been in the Army, you have 1 years from moving to the state to register your vehicle in that state and meet state laws and requirements..
@ShiftyKen08 Says:
I love how these idiots constantly shit on police, while ignoring the criminals. Then can't understand why they have such a shortage
@barbarabutler1650 Says:
Why does a ny politician have a Georgia tag nypd must have ny tag bull
@desiredkid Says:
For the Yusef Salaam stop the NYPD did release the audio from the cops body cam. The cop did identify himself and why he stopped the car. In addition why is Yusef's car registered in Georgia? Can't he afford to register it in NYC? He is being ghetto.
@emitch9213 Says:
This is not about the police. This is the clear progressive agenda of MARXISM. This is about Woke. All the ideology of progressive has become an agenda of an agenda. Destroy the body of the police force issues in another force-military police. VOTE out Woke!
@offdacorner Says:
Illegal aliens are literally beating up NYPD cops on the streets. That would never happen where I live.
@Mr.Dapper Says:
However will they guess the 12million genders? 😂

@everypitchcounts4875 Says:
Politicians should be just as transparent as the NYPD.
@eggboy552 Says:
what a shithole
@katiegreene3960 Says:
Bunch of idiots
@cwarner5909 Says:
This is the kind of change that convinces people on the verge of retirement to do so.
