I watch you from my house here in Colombia. I have made this my home here since 2003. I have used those apps alot in the past and never had any issue. The problem is now alot of morons are going to Medellin and getting hit with Burundanga and robbed. I must be lucky withy my 7 years plus in Iraq/Afghanistan that keeps me alert. I knew one day though idiots would start showing up here. I myself live here in Cali, Colombia and dont work overseas anymore. People just need to not be fools when it comes to other people.

@ABL I was there in late October early November in Cartagena to actually date somebody from Colombia 11:03 . I had the home advantage because I speak Spanish fluently and I used to go to car to hanging all the time as a kid but yeah even I who knew the culture who dressed like I was from there they still pick me out even with house fluent my Spanish was they're not as stupid as one thing so if I could stand out anybody could stand out

If over 100k travel and 8 deaths is the number they reported the percentage in most men’s mind is it’s still worth the risk to get that dream fulfilled. I visited Medellin Colombia last year and had an excellent time. I was in a heavy tourist area but was keenly aware of my surrounding as anyone should be in a foreign country. I stayed at a Marriott Hotel(American based) just to have peace of mind of what to expect on the lodging situation. Basically Im saying this to say don't be afraid to travel to foreign countries, but he aware of the dangers and be on high alert at all time for unusual situations. Colombia is a beautiful country with much to see and much to offer. Be smart though, it is not your home. I remember walking down the street nice watch and jewelry on, when a person who spoke fluent English, not sure where he was from, told me to not be so flashy and to hide my jewelry and nice things. Keep my phone in my pocket and not out to broadcast it to the people here. I appreciated it. And quickly took off my jewelry. You just have to be safe and aware of your surroundings.
