Guns are in the Constitution... and it has been lawfully interpreted in a way in which allows for dismissing the "well regulated" and "militia" parts. You don't have to agree with that interpretation - but that's what it is. I'm not for destroying the Constitution any further than it already has been by both parties.
There is functionally no difference between an AR-15 and a magazined hunting rifle of a hundred other varieties. So, if you ban AR-15's (Semi-automatic, not automatic), why are you not banning all hunting rifles? If you opine for that position - I disagree with not having the ability to procure and use hunting rifles - how well are you going to do in passing a Constitutional Amendment to do so - to get rid of all rifles (and really, all handguns)? If you get rid of AR-15's, there are plenty of other options. So, the answer would likely be "get rid of all guns" - well, no thanks.
The real problem is our society is so sick, broken and deprived - and nobody is doing anything for it or equality - that we're producing little terrorist kids that have no hope and no outlook. That is a direct result of our broken country. After all, guns has been with us for hundreds of years - kids killing other kids in schools is mostly a 90's and beyond problem. Guns didn't produce this issue - policies did. I see no one here on the panel addresses that nor any solution to fix the governmental policies that could change the outcome of shooters being produced. Ban guns? You've already lost the plot.

You guys might want to actually look at the Report before commenting. The report does mention the ease with which the shooter was able to purchase the Ar-15 as a contributory cause of the massacre. The Hill did a much better job of covering the report.
