I just spoke to a friend who had just gotten out of that federal prison and he said he knew the attacker. He said he only attached him because his time was about to zero out, and he wanted to get another charge to stay in jail. He apparently was being pursued by the Mexican Mafia. This may or may not be true but it was from a credible source. The attacker was white also so it sounds plausible

He could have stood floyd up and just walked him to the car or something, literally any effort would have been better than what Chauvin did.
