This is so true. I was at a CA state university 2008-2012 and studied Psychology. I had a professor that was transitioning from male to female during that time. He himself explained that it was a mental disorder, “gender identity disorder,” that he struggled with that likely stemmed from trauma. It was such an uncommon thing to come across that as students we didn’t even know what to make of it. So it was actually kind of great because we just respected him as our professor, because he was a great professor, and after he brought it up one time we never talked about it again. No political activism, no harsh judgment, no one forcing beliefs on others, no one enticing minors to have life altering surgeries. Would not have thought it then , but those were the days??? Haha

I remember Berkeley in the 60s. The causes protested on campus were free speech, civil rights and the Vietnam War. Stuff being protested against today on campuses today seem to pale in comparison.

I went to a night university in London that had lots of these looney lefties who were always protesting and demanding you sign their petitions. Same wasters all the time. Most of us were working during the day and studyiny at night so were busy. Kids were NEVER taught how to have fun. They want a crazy amount of rules!!!! We knew how to have fun and it wasn’t a freaking protest. None of us wanted to be that angry. We partied but young enough to feel good enough to play children games. We were at Rocky Horror Picture Show instead of that these messed up kids are stopping traffic to protest climate change. BTW making traffic stop like that puts more fumes in the air.

When I went to college, I had professor berate my class for not being more active and protesting. Most of my classmates were more worried about studying NOT bathroom signs. I went to school in the 80s.

I went to college from 1982-1987. Lived away from home on or just off of campus. My school was 20 minutes from University of Michigan. I do not recall a single protest at either school in the 5 years I was there! Not once!
