Does this sorry excuse for a human think there were no marriages before Christianity? Truly a moron. Marriages have been recorded for thousands of years before organized religion.
@leilanic.7138 Says:
Well become domestic partners no point in a atheist get married by the church and under a god ypu dont believe in...thats confusing.
@abumefak2 Says:
Marriage is a legal contract ..man made contract not a fairy tale driven one
@dkth-e1t Says:
There is no room for marriage or any kind of morals outside religion. Why would i comit or sacrifice if there is only me and only this life? I would just try to fill my eveyday with pleasures no matter what....
@WillyWonka_3456 Says:
I don’t understand how that lady doesn’t understand dating is getting to know people and it is a commitment but not a very strong commitment that is the time you build up getting to know the person and this that and the 3rd but then marriage is saying okay I truly love this person and staying locked in with each other. That is the difference soooo I don’t understand how she dosent understand????
@kawaiiButterfly-t8d Says:
Logistically, its the so much more than a tax break 😂
And who cares if they do it for all of the benefits?! Who cares!? Also, why is she mixing atheism and open relationships?? There are plenty of monogomos atheists.
@givemeonemoreminute Says:
who let candace cook😭🙏
@gimiwanmemengwaa Says:
It’s a cultural thing
@mikefreeman6808 Says:
So atheist don't believe in love? You fkin deluded??? Wtf do people think an atheist is???
@lovecamping5319 Says:
If God doesn't bless it then it's just worthless
@nav6550 Says:
Why do you have to be a Christian to get married If you want to get married you can get married No one should tell you that you can't get married just because of your religion That is so stupid
@jjk_death_note Says:
as an atheist, this is even more stupid than the "atheists shouldn’t celebrate christmas" argument 😭 if you really love someone and want to be with them for the rest of your life and have kids and to be a family, why wouldn’t you get married? marriage isn’t exclusive to religious people
@lisloh128 Says:
Because it shows how much we love each other.
@BethersO Says:
As someone who just recently got married, I’ve noticed that weddings have become more about the ceremony than the actual marriage. My husband and I eloped in the beautiful mountains of eastern Ky surrounded by God, our pastor, and our parents. We then had a small dinner with our closest friends and family to come together in prayer and celebrate our union. We could have afforded a big wedding but that’s not what it was about for us. I’m not saying you can’t have a huge wedding but I believe a lot of people in our generation get married so they can have this huge wedding and post it on social media. A marriage is not JUST to show your commitment to one another, it is also needs to include your commitment together to God.
@-VP-696 Says:
Yes but marriage also means telling other people that you are going to be with them forever. Like your friends, your family. So that other people also see it as something serious
@MikeSiemer-w2j Says:
Love u candace
@mezzymoon3343 Says:
She is so ignorant
@terryp187 Says:
This lady is 100% completely WRONG!!! I think “God” is just the grown folks Santa Clause! Be good=Go to heaven (AKA get lots of toys) Be bad=Go to hell (AKA gets lots of cole) and im very happily married to the beat woman on the planet… n she shares me with her girlfriends quite often!! We also never argue, even after 17 years! So that contradicts everything she has said!!!
@marcgonzconc1846 Says:
Candace is right and correct. Instead, the 304 is all attitude and slogans: "wearing crosses for fun", "commitment", "solidifying", "made in hell", etc ie nothing of real meaning or value. She never shuts up, she "knows it all"... She may want "to be with them for ever", however the real question is "will there be anyone who wants to be with her forever?"...since she is so masculine, that's not happening...
@JayD1994 Says:
What does not having a belief in God have to do with marrying for those reasons? You can decide to not believe in God and decide to get married with someone because you love them and want to have a special person in your life. No God required. Not believing in a god just tells you what you don't believe in, not what you do believe in lol. It sounds like you'd just blindly accept whatever a religious doctrine tells you to accept.
@jefferyhartwell9102 Says:
The more they talk let's u no they don't no nothing
@jefferyhartwell9102 Says:
She's cooking
@GunsNStuff Says:
Marriage is concept created by God. Its not a “Contract” as the world has watered it down to. Its a Covenant between 2 people
Contract = agreement upon a common distrust
Covenant = agreement upon a common trust
@ultrabeargames314 Says:
.....cause at this point its just a ceramony and not a religous tradition....
@luisfernandolopez9794 Says:
So her logic is if you don’t believe in god then you shouldn’t get married
@secretservice1816 Says:
All atheists are not logical and smart 😅
@BigFat-Littleman Says:
Just because a person is an atheist doesn’t mean they don’t recognize different stages in their relationships. Sure, there are financial benefits but it also an occasion to celebrate. Or commemorate. Or any other reason they want to get married.
Most marriage traditions have religious origins. But religion does not have a monopoly on marriage.
But, what is strange to me, are atheists who have religious styled weddings. Don’t get me wrong, they’re free to do so or do it however they want. Im just saying it’s weird. On the other hand, it’s also weird the number of religious leaders who will preform wedding ceremonies for people outside of their beliefs or against their religious convictions.
@vxbez2840 Says:
The ring on a finger is an offical symbol of one’s commitment to each other and their undying love. Candace Owen’s has a point but it moved in the wrong direction
@pauliuszvironas9667 Says:
Pretty sure there is a non-religious marriage to make the relationship legal...
@ministryoftruth8588 Says:
Candice missed the MOST IMPORTANT point: An 'athiest woman' who marries is ENTITLED to 50% of her EX HUSBAND's wealth, possessions and FUTURE EARNINGS (alimony, child $upport and pen$ion).
@terrellsimmo.s7271 Says:
Dingos are known to be monogamous so it’s not just a human thing.
@chef197 Says:
Marriage is a union given to man & woman to procreate, worship and profess their faith to the unseen G-D. What Candace said is correct. You're a non believer why practice traditions of Believers??
@gkabbage6000 Says:
Females only wanna marry for financial reason black women do it for bragging rights nobody do it for love 😢
@gkabbage6000 Says:
Why get married at all….history shows it don’t work it’s not supposed to it’s not the nature of no living species to be obligated to one person forever. People grow
@AmyGonmei Says:
Dating is to know each other.. it's not to spread your legs which Western woman will never understand... For them it's to sleep around with bunch of man and get naked on Instagram.. That's their goal in life
@ricardogrant8627 Says:
Can a blind man drive why getting married wen it's as sumting to do with God u don't believe in make it make since pls
@michaelfranklin2583 Says:
Wow, that girl needs to upside her clothes. Stop shopping at baby gap. It's not a good look for the big girls
@jodyp8842 Says:
Normally i agree with Candice in most things but as an atheist marriage is like Christmas. Its a celebration with family and traditions and value. Doesn’t have to do anything with religion.
@johnsonjeremiah74 Says:
Marriage is just based soley on religion. Using religion as a reason to not support an atheist getting married is retarded. Now, the rest of what she said is accurate. Why would a man want to be with some woman that sleeps around and sells naked pictures.
@Roosters-rants1977 Says:
So they can take the msns assets
@Jesus-wh4sm Says:
What the hell is Candance is saying 😭
@RubyRedDress Says:
Atheists surely don't believe in marriage. Isn't marriage a teaching from the bible?
@abundantlifenancytovar9757 Says:
Some missed the point. This is an atheist. Weddings came from something spiritual. If you don’t believe in anything then why marriage lol.
@mellokaymatic Says:
her argument it about where marriage comes from what it was established for. It was a covenant between a man and women before God- parents who honor God would raise children to honor God and multiply the good. Vs what is happening now. Marriage keeps us accountable before God. When people do this and do not honor God they devalue marriage and multiply darkness. Interpret darkness how you want.
@FindingFreedomInaVan Says:
This is really interesting. I didn't realise marriage was only a religious thing. I know lots of people who have a none religious marriage. I'm quite confused why this is a debate.
Surely religious people want to get married for the same reason as none religious people.
@ShaunFitt Says:
It seems as if Candance statement seems true in general of course people live in their own reasons for doing anything but when it boils down to the actual point of doing it it’s purposeless without the belief in God. You have more freedom and control committing without the paperwork.
@bishopbhmg3882 Says:
They just want something to post on social media.
@Mustache_man7 Says:
I'd rather wait for Candace to be our first black female president. Fuck Kamala
@JasonsChannel115 Says:
They stood absolutely no chance against Candace and it was great to see 😂
