While we cannot ID all ai content, we could start to ID all genuine content, similar to how google authenticator works, an AI could not fake it as it doesnt have the server codes, so videos could be verified by comparing date to server data, OF COURSE this might cause reliability issues, but it is BETTER than NOTHING

It is terrifying & makes me question using platforms like YouTube. Not only has it been used to scam people by faking authentic money advisers for false investments, it could effect our world view & election videos. Even without deep fake I see ads on YouTube etc telling you to invest & promising huge returns by downloading an app etc - I think large companies who make money from advertising scams have a duty to anonymously check money making schemes as people have lost their savings to people who promise easy income for little effort. Do not trust such ads, they are not benevolent people who want to make you rich, it is to make them rich. The web is overrun with scammers who make billions from the gullible & desperate. Then they have the nerve to tell me my comments don't fit with their ethics - what ethics?

0:43 I got all four correct, but I had to pause the video each time for about 5-10 seconds and really think about it/observe it. The only reason I suspect that I was able to tell what was fake, and what wasn't, was because since I was born in the 2000s, I grew up being told, "Do not believe everything you see on TV or on the internet." and have witnessed AI's expansion. (I also grew up with a love for art, so I have an eye for what is right, and what isn't). I also trusted my gut instinct on what was fake, even if my brain couldn't entirely decide for 100% that, "yes, what I'm looking at is not the Real Boris Johnson".
I don't even know how I'd be able to even teach somebody that "this is fake, and this is real" when all four were SO convincingly real to look at. Especially kids born into this, 2020 onwards. I was the last generation who was able to grow up with the internet, social media, and artificial intelligence as it advanced and made altercations. To be able to call back how things used to be, or how they'd changed. But for a kid born 2020+ onward? You'd have to basically teach them a class of what is or isn't a deepfake. Its extremely frightening, really.

If you look deeply at the digital files, you can see clearly the cut and past aspects of the file… even pixels mapping shows massive read/writes of the file in question.
But, that takes a tech geek to be brought into court.

Anthropic was just accused of stealing from a server that had a bot script saying stay out. So they hit that server a million times in 24 hrs until they shook everything out of it. it gave them a slight chuckle when the owner of the server posted a complaint about it, My guess is because they could easily break your servers with more cycles and law enforcement will do nothing about breaking and entering to steal property. Let alone this mans business was useless for 24 hrs and he lost a bundle of money. AI will not police itself because they would have to arrest the CEO but this is what should happen as they committed 1 million felonies in a 24 hr period and this was just 1 server. Why is everybody ok with this? It will only cause more and more layoffs. The experts predict in a couple of yrs America will have 50% unemployment. How is any of this ok? Are my posts automatically hidden or deleted? Why then? Cause you feel youve created your own art? No, A computer made that art with stolen property. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! Does No one agree? Can anyone even read this?

This is really scary! If you know something might be a deep fake, you can spot that something is off. But if you don’t know that something might be a deep fake, you don’t have any reason to question if this is real, and the “errors” are subtle enough to not stand out…

One thing I noticed,... is that the deepfakes.. seem more flawless, even if distorted in someway. But yes, I love this idea of creating software to detect fake software. Time to employ a lot of hackers techys... that are really good at what they do. To cather the other scammers. It reminds me of the movie "Catch Me if You Can, when the check fraudster, was hired by the FBI to catch other check frauds. Oh this is going to be messy.
