I’m an American, I have my own culture, and the American culture is not based upon race. I see people as people, but I also recognize the differences in traditions and experiences.
For an African American person to say “what about slavery” it brings an injustice. No person today was alive during the transatlantic slave trade.
If you truly want to stop being oppressed, get off your ass get a job, and prove the notion to be incorrect. By whining and demanding reparations for something you didn’t experience, you are in fact the ones being racist.
