Progressives really need to get on the same train as the right wing and start at the base. We need to start with school boards, aldermen and other local elections and start working our way up. We need to get corporate Dems out and get real progressives like Katie Porter and AOC in office so that we can get real progress. I'm tired of seeing stories about supposed Democrats like Joe Manchin voting no and claiming he is doing it "for his constituents" when the polls show the opposite....but they show his corporate donors wouldn't have liked him voting yes.....

Schultz is an ass. I’ve met him and that is the nicest thing I can say about him. He is HATED in WA state and had to hide in another state after he first stepped down from Sbux. As for Sbux, they give zero fucks about the NLRB and their findings of wrongdoing. They wipe their asses with fine notices and pop champagne every time a union leader gets fired. Here’s a fun fact though: several high end restaurants in the Seattle area have a list of Sbux executives and have been told under no circumstances can those people reserve a table, and if they come in with another party, they will be asked to leave. The executives are as hated in Seattle as Shultz

I'm a barista and while I don't work for SB the community is still very close.. SB just straight up closed several locations in my city due to the employees trying to unionize. The employees don't get fired- but reassigned to different stores with hopes that it will deter them from unionizing or make them quit all together.
If you have to feed your caffeine addiction- please support local spots. SB really doesn't deserve the support.

I find local cafe's superior to Starbucks there just starting to reopen again post covid after most going out of business during covid and Starbucks still operates like it's spring 2021 less seating shortened hours this is the perfect time to look for alternative establishments which are at least as good n more affordable working people need to start looking out for eachothher the second a business is public and isn't owner operated it's too big to be a fair employer

There's the answer why the NLRB got involved! Folks, the NLRB won't even bat an eyelash if you file a complaint about one occurrence. I brought one to them covering about 70, and it pretty much dismissed it. (It was working casuals in lieu of career employees...didn't have enough meat on the bone.) This is 130 violations, retaliations against unionizing. And the petitioners probably put their ducks in a row. Bad joo-joo for Corporate.

I'm all for unions and the right of the workers to strike for better wages and working conditions, but this is crazy.
It's coffee service, not brain surgery. Take your $12-15 per hour and go back to school. Learn how to earn better.
