This pediatrician is incredibly naive to gender issues. Pretends that she doesn't have an opinion on "social issues" but then says she abides by "do no harm". No way would I send my kids to see her. If you can't see the social issues leading to the medical decisions that are destroying kids' lives, then you're complicit in this terrible movement. This interview is the definition of milquetoast. As others noted, the interviewer is doing more talking than the interviewee and the interviewee is doing everything to walk a fine line of placating parents but giving enough cover to the garbage people running our society into the ground. Instead of telling parents to let your kids play cross dress-up or let them go to school in sleepwear, tell parents to ask what's going on with their kids and why they feel the need to do that.
One parent I saw elsewhere talk about how their boy wanted to dress up as a girl, but when the parent asked their child (shocking), the boy just wanted to look "fancy". The parent got the boy some fancy boy clothes and a crown to wear and he was perfectly happy at that point. You don't have to let them dress as a girl if there are some elements that can satisfy what the child wants without generating confusion for them. It's about digging down, doing the work, and learning what your child is trying to obtain. You as the parent have to be there to guide them.

This pediatrician lost me when she said, it's OK to socially transition and confused children. I understand that dressing up doesn't cause harm like putting drugs and doing procedures, but socially transition is always step number 1. I think that it's ok for a girl to play with cars, etc, but not socially transition l.

It always worries me when someone interviews an expert and the expert spends most of their time listening to the interviewer. I think the purpose of interviewing an expert is to find out what they think. I would have liked this a lot more if, at the end I felt I knew a lot more about what Dr Hochman thought and not so much about what Mrs Streit thought (which I think I already knew.)
The other thing that worried me is that both people seemed to believe that being born in the wrong body was physically possible: that seems to deny biological reality.

I do not agree with most of this doctors position on transgender (when did this become a word?) and her opinion on the state of the public school system. Have no words really how disappointed I have been with this interview and the recent one with Nikki Haley.

As a woman who grew up with a weight issue - I say there is a balance. I struggled with heavy periods and wearing a bra from the age of nine. Physical activity went down, weight went up, and I didn’t have an adult that told me there was beauty in me. Instead, I was surrounded by diet books and told that no one would be attracted to me if I was overweight. The issue of my hormones was not addressed. I was not taken to an OBGYN. I felt shamed - so it is important to remember that fat is just one of an innumerable number of layers to a person. This beauty “movement” is good in that it is making it not OK to make fun of fat individuals and awakening culture to the truth that a person who is not an ideal weight is still worthy of love and that they are beautiful in their own way.

Step 1) Take your children out of public schools if you can. Put them in a conservative school. We don't want people to indoctrinate our children.... unless they agree with us. Then it's fine.
Step 2) Ban books. Anything with sex and violence should be banned. Except the Bible. While there is lots of sex, violence, incest and sex with animals, all our conservative members feel this is all fine as it's age appropriate.
Step 3) if you must keep your child in a public school, make sure his peers, teachers and councilors all agree with his viewpoints. The last we want is for him to be exposed to any of this wokeness out there. If this sounds like a safe space, it isn't! It's ONLY a safe space when the left does that. We when do it, it's "protecting the children".
Step 4) Make sure you donate to PragerU. We promise we won't spend any money suing youtube over cases we can't possibly win. And we we certainly wouldn't waste money on appealing that court's decision. Your money is safe with us! We promise!
