The answer to Dennis' last question is easy for an atheist ... Atheism is not about making a claim about any deities ... People who have a "faith" based belief make claims and the burden to answer the question is on THEM ONLY ! I like Dennis , much respect to him and his great work as a humanist .

But I do not make any claim on faith, ever . Love Prager U and Dennis ... Thanks for being there .

Dennis: you are an intellectual giant. But the head/brain only gets you so far. Read the Book of Isaiah about the coming Messiah (written hundreds of years before the birth of Christ and see what it says about Christâs coming as our Savior). Also see the Book written by Lee Strobel âThe Case For Christâ. There are so many biblical prophecies foretelling the coming of Christ. I truly believe that folks who say they donât believe feel that way because they donât want it to be true, not because they donât believe it deep down. If we believe in Jesus, then we are compelled to obey him, and most folks donât want to do that, so they rationalize and claim not to believe. And some folks are just angry at God for what they believe to be injustices that they feel that he has committed. God bless you, Dennis, and lead you to the truth.

Trinitarianism is not compatible with being a monotheist. I think that Dennis Prager was merely being "polite" when he claimed otherwise. Another possibility is that despite Christians believing in the trinity, most Christians do not think in trinitarian terms and believe that God is one person.

Dennis, I think the easiest answers to your questions is to read the book of Hebrews. Then check out the Moody Handbook of Messianic Prophecies for a scholarly approach. Jesus Christ is Godâs love made manifest for âGreater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.â ââJohn⏠â15âŹ:â13âŹ. Abraham exhibited this love for God when he was willing to sacrifice his only son Isaac and it was a foreshadowing of Godâs love for us. Please also read the Parable of the Tenants. The old sacrificial system was being taken advantage of with performative works and people presuming they would be covered by it instead of trying harder to live by Godâs commandments which He valued more (Isaiah 1). God sent so many prophets. Instead of lasting repentance, there was always a falling away, which led to remnants of a remnant of a remnant etc. being left after Godâs judgement. This even happened again after the building of the second temple. What more is God supposed to do? Continue this cycle into eternity? Would we be on temple number 53 today? Because this old covenant was broken by Israel, and they continuously were judged and destroyed by disobeying it, God Himself gave the ultimate sacrifice for now and all time to fulfill the requirements of the old law and covenant so that Israel would be redeemed from it forever. A new covenant was then put in its place. The Law was replaced with Godâs grace. The same grace which He promised to not flood the world again and instead give us the length of our now shorter, lives to turn back and repent. No longer does the Law justify us, we are justified by Faith apart from the work of the Law and it is to our benefit! Read Romans 2-12 and Galatians 2-5 for a further explanation of this new covenant.

Two things are wrong here. First, Dennis says the logical answer for the atheist is to hope he's wrong. But that's a jewish perspective. From the christian perspective, he should hope he's right. If he's right, when he dies, that's it. But if he's wrong, then there's hell to pay. Second, I believe the main reason Dennis isn't a Christian is because he doesn't believe the words of Moses. John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. If you understand if-> then logic, Jesus is saying it's really not possible to believe Moses and not Jesus. And how do I know Dennis doesn't believe Moses? If he did, he'd be a young-earth creationist, which is the only logical conclusion one can take from Genesis.

In Judaism a lamb has to die for your sins... so why do you have a problem for someone dying for your sins? In Old Testament is says the Father has a Son... Pro_30:4 Who has ascended into heaven and descended? ... Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if you know? The Holy Spirit (QDS RUH ALEYM) is feminine according to the Hebrew text and is with the Father (AB YEUE ALEYM). In the lost Gospel to the Hebrews Church Father Origen Quotes, that in it, Jesus said the Holy Spirit is His Mother. Meaning the Family is in the image of the Almighties Father, Spirit and Their Son Jesus (MSYH YEUSO ALEYM) and these 3 act in perfect Union as One like a United Family - and the Lord is calling us to become One Family with them with the Father, Holy Spirit and Jesus as the Top Forever. So why are you not a Jewish-Christian? Maybe speak to One for Israel...

Word of God Jesus is present is old testament. But to understand it we need to read new testament. If you don't then old testament is just laws. Mr. Dennis prager have read bible. Except Jesus divinity and the idea of Jesus dying for worlds sins, if he believed in Jesus words then his interpretation of old testament have changed. Now the answer, 1. Not only Jesus, every human can die for others sins. But it's beneficial only if that person do not have any sin him (or God do not find sin in him. If God forget his sins then God will not find any sin him). If somebody carry others sin and die for the bad things he never done and if he pray to God that forgive them for they don't know what they are doing and.. if God accepts it that means they will not be punished for their bad doing. This way they get salvation. God always hear his sons pray. Jesus prayed in the cross to forgive them. You don't need to believe that Jesus is God but Jesus himself and apostles says that he's son of God, this belief is enough. The interpretation that since Jesus is son of God he's God is difficult to grasp for many. Jesus as son of God and Lord is the appropriate title for Jesus. His sonship came for the work's he's done on earth ,that is after his death. God cannot survive in this world. Just imagine if God came to earth as a perfect human, will he survive? Or how long he can live. I think you are understanding it. He will die at his young ages when he comes to a public life. Jesus knew he will die nobody needs to tell him. Because if we execute word of God spoken through Jesus we'll die. If Jesus didn't die on cross then he's just a prophet. 2. If you believe that the words that Jesus spoken is word of God. Then the ideal way of understanding of it is, he speaking from the spirit of God. The fleshly body is not God. That means God is in him. And he lived a life what God spirit commanded. This is called Gods sonship. Because God as spirit dwells him. Like a sons live according to his father's words. Slaves on the other hand need not understand their masters intension. If master says do not work on sabath, slaves simply don't work and stay in home. Sons also will do the same but they know God's will and they found somebody is in a need during sabath they'll help. On the other hand if you say that Jesus is completely God including his flesh, then I believe it's going to trouble you and it's against the message that bible speaks. Will this helps you?

"I don't believe that anybody can die for my sins." What about all the sacrifice law/commandments in the Mosaic Law? It is about fulfilling what the Mosaic Law demands of an Israelite who wants to be in the presense and in community with God. Everything that stands between God and a human and makes community impossible or fatal for a human is removed. God's death curse, which applies to Adam and his descendants resp. sinners, can be diverted; that is the principle underlying the sacrificial practice of the Mosaic Law. And, very important: the scrifice has to be worthy. According to the Torah, God does not accept just any sacrifice - only one that is worthy. So, a sinner sacrificing himself doesn't do it, at least not without the sacrifice of Jesus. Therefore, it makes no sense if a Jew who claims to believe in the Torah says that he does not believe that someone could or should die for his sins. This must also happen according to the Mosaic Law if someone wants community with God and wants to be in his presence resp. if they want to have God in their midst. And, as I said, Jesus did nothing other than fulfill the requirements of the Mosaic Law in this regard.
