Jobs and things can be replaced and rebuilt but we all get one life so that is important to keep in mind. If so, the workers would have called off in the first place. They weren't being told they were going to die in Tennessee, that was Florida. Tennessee isn't really a state that usually has hurricanes. It was Helene not Milton however I work for a company on the other side of the mountain in western NC and we were in fact told about the danger of hurricane Helene on Monday of that week and work was canceled Wednesday evening because of the dangers of flooding. With that said no one alive here had seen anything like Helene in our region. It was 100+ years since anyone experienced anything this bad in this region of Appalachia. Everyone thought it was an overblown storm warning and an exaggeration which is usually the case, but this time unfortunately it truly was catastrophic.
