I had one guy drive up to a fiber optic cable that was on the ground and cut it in two , it was in the edge of the road. 20 feet of road to go around. That community will be without communications for a month till a crew gets there. Volunteers bringing in food and water that already has destination, stopped and unloaded , just a bad look for FEMA. Maybe they have a reason ? Trucks now saying they are not stopping for them now. KUDOS to the HAM radios guys out there, trying to get stuff where needed. While listening in , I heard them getting people with 4 wheel drives to get volunteer nurses into rough areas. Mobile HAMS relaying messages from cut off communities, to HAMS with phone service, letting loved ones know they are OK. Letting heavy equipment volunteers where to go find disaster response organizers, way to go BIG KAHONA. Where to drop off food and water donations. Where the FEMA the people are , to do the paper work the need to get whatever they can get.
