After India & Pakistan got their independence from Britain in 1947, Pakistan tried this experiment of not recognizing English anymore, but then they found that they ran into problems about which local language gets precedence. That eventually lead to Pakistan splitting up and one part became Bangladesh. So sometimes it's better to adopt the colonizer's language, just as a bridge language between all of the other languages.>> <<@celestf2975 says : We have the same problem in Haiti>> <<@Sibariafay says : >> <<@shabaka4555 says : 🦁 ❤ 🔥 RESPECT BROTHER ZACK!! China absolutely has and is continuing to learn and use English. People are so undereducated. When Gambia and Senegal unite back together, then we should understand why speaking a world language is just as important as your native tongue. French is NOT a world language, but rather a language of combat>> <<@anthonyrab9468 says : You are a country when you have the same language. Then i will begin to believe he has had a pro African change of heart.>> <<@crazychaba9816 says : 05:48 Its funny you mention South Africa because even the name South africa is a Colonizer name. If you look at most the neighbouring countries Botswana,Lesotho and Eswatini they use Native names. Its very present in both former french and british colonized countries. The only thing i hate about South Africa is the name,Eswatini used to be called Swaziland but they fixed it. Also I feel like there is no point in making a native language an official language if 1.Official/government documents arent written in it. 2.If it is not taught in school. 3. If exams are not written in it. Look at countries like China,Japan,Korea,Turkey and Russia they do everything in their native language. We have embassies for all those 5 countries in my country and when you apply for a scholarship its mandated that you will spend 1 year there learning their language before you can start your course.>> <<@Shadowyartsdirty3 says : Congradulations Senegal.
