Our laws state that only those born with one parent being a US citizen can be designed a US citizen themselves, nothing about being born on US soil regardless of the citizenship of the parents. Kamala Harris parents were not US citizens when she was born on US soil, thus her citizenship should have been either Jamaican or Indian or both, but not US. Obama has a US citizen parent and thus qualifies as a US citizen, regardless of where he was born. Cruz had a US citizen parent, and thus qualifies as a US citizen.
