The city of Seattle can't retain the police officers that it hires. I could write a book on why the city of Seattle is in trouble but here is not the place. If the police are called and don't come or it becomes well known that they won't respond, then the home owners are more free to handle the situation themselves. 10rd capacity aside, it's still a usable and valuable weapon. When criminals start hitting the ground and homeowners are now able to handle things without being restricted by having to go through the police first, or have been denied help by the police, or maybe not have to be as worried about the legal aftermath, then criminals begin to decrease (literally) and the ones that are still considering this lifestyle, will begin to rethink it and maybe not try it. Crime is up because criminals know there are little to no consequences.
