If for chance a child does develop allergies, it is not worse than them in any way as them figuring out later on that they are allergic, because you can’t prevent every possible reaction unless you start frpm the source. And it’s better it happens to them as a baby than as a more developed individual who remembers pain at higher levels and also has already found passions in life, where as a baby can at least remember less and not have grown to attached. You never know what allergy can develop, but deliverately avoiding something because it feels weird just sounds like something allergies would like.

No!!!! My husband was born with a severe allergy. His family exposed him to peanuts early. Now, he has made me promise to expose our kids to peanuts early on in life. While I can't have it in our house, they will have it at other people's houses if they don't have an allergy.

I think the idea was if kids 1 to 3 years of age had a peanut allergy and ate peanut products, then their allergic reaction would have a much higher chance of killing them because of their age.

Remember people, experts are always right…..until they’re wrong, and then it’s “We were just following the science and we have better data now…..so we were never really wrong, you see.” 🤦♂️ You are not allowed to make a decision about you or your family’s health because your decision is not backed by their data……which is likely wrong anyways. 🤔

My nephew had his first reaction at 1 yrs old . His face looked like it had hives . The second reaction at 2 yrs was way worse. Both eyes swelled shut , entire face swelled and was very red and itchy. The ER Dr told me it was a miracle his throat didn’t swell and that his next reaction it probably would . What this man is saying sounds right , but I think there’s more to it .

Prior to the mid 1800s peanuts were not common in the US and less known around the world. If lack of early familiarity is the issue these people should have had the highest rates of reaction. The reaction to peanuts has increased dramatically in the last 3 decades but it seems to me it must be due to something else, maybe the use of ultra prossed foods and seed oils over the same time period

There are people who ignored the warning and let their kids eat peanuts, but have kids with nut allergies. I know of several and some of those kids have more than one allergy. My wonder is if it has to do with newer vaccines or stsrting vaccines at younger ages for kids. The moms who chose to hold off longer with their kids have healthier kids from my little polling I can see and hear from in my town.

We have an "anti-science" epidemic. Too many people shutting down debate by claiming you're "anti-science". It's been evident through covid ("the science" got that wrong). It was evident with Peanuts ("the science" was wrong). It's evident with climate change - anyone who dares challenge the narrative is hit with "you're anti-science". It's ignorance of the highest order. You summed it up perfectly : no, you DON'T have to tell parents SOMETHING. You have to tell them the truth. If you're not sure, say nothing. Who even asked???
