Wind-up 😢 || * There's another erroneous use, largely coming from a group of a particular demographic from the USA: an increasing number of people - increasing, unfortunately, because of degradation in the education system -- -- mixing-up "lay", and "lie". Lately, people are copying their fellow poorly-spoken man with things like, "I was laying in bed".. Laying WHAT in bed, sir?! Chickens - hens, specifically - lay eggs, so I suppose they could "lay [eggs] in bed", but people aren't really laying eggs in bed. Anyway, that's not why I'm here.
