Prosthetics with a light compact battery came to mind first. But combat armor is cool too.

Wearable batteries are super iffy. Imagine a ballistic vest made of 18650's getting shot. Big fire hazard. If you're storing enough power for a useful combat system, it's not going to fail calmly.

I'm going to make a magnet suite and create and harness a reversible pole shifter. That simulates constant shifts on Earth's field creating propulsion..I'm going to fly dang it. First trials I was stuck to a plane for 8hours into Brazil.

Dont get to much hope for seeing these in the military. We kinnda already got those just not as bendy and stretchy the real problem is weight it will only see use in the military if it's lighter than current batteries. Ours already survive extreme environments and trauma. Plus down side is soldiers will stretch as much as possible on the kit then when they fall or get caught on a branch then they will snap and mid mission that would be a problem

This may also make the electronic devices flexible. As most of the components in our smartphones can be made bendable today, even the oled screens, the battery and the camera are the only unbendable big components.

And how would the batteries assist our capabilities? Are we taking into account the needs of an individual soldier and the equipment they already use? NODs, optics, IR lasers? Things not typically attached to the body- and how would they react to explosions, gunfire, impacts with the ground? I can’t think of anything we typically wear that would need these kinds of batteries, and how would it even hold up on my side of the fence with CBRN defense? Would it hinder the donning or doffing of MOPP? Would the batteries become hazardous to the wearer under even minimal CBRN contamination? Could you decon these batteries? Would they interfere with the effectiveness of MOPP? Important questions to ask-

It's truly terrifying how normal it's become that the first application of potentially life changing technologies is at this point just assumed to be on the battlefield where it'll be used to kill more efficiently, we know it could be used in medical to save uncountable lives, and we know the patent will be snatched by the US military

As a soldier in Alaska, I bet these batteries would be amazing to have. How to they handle extreme temperatures? Actually now that I think about it, them being mostly water would probably mean they freeze more easily, but maybe they could power a heated vest well, since that’s close to your core
