When they report a "low" number, it's because they're comparing say Q3 of this year to Q2 of this year and noticing the difference, and then doing the same back wards to get a "Delta" between the two rates, and they use that to say oh inflation is a small percentage of what it was. What they don't tell you is that it's way more compared to say 2020. They cherry pick numbers to make it look good, but they cannot dance around that people are paying 3x for groceries.
