China has indeed made a lot of progress, but contrary to what you say many millions of Chinese have learnt western languages, and used this knowledge to help China progress. As you know, China exports all kinds of products all over the world. The information on these products is in western and other languages, because if they were only in Chinese most of the planet could not read the instructions.
