Going back to the 90s or so, the judges admitting it was a bad decision, and voted to keep it, cited disruption to society (I paraphrase). Screw a union.>> <<@charlesparker4481 says : This doesn't surprise me, companies always do this to workers.>> <<@jar407 says : funny about 5 or less yrs ago Starbucks was the darling of the left coast .since they hired leftists who pyr nasty remarks on cups. but they were one co that offered benefits from start of work and decent pay . as for unions i had the misfortune to work for co with contract with minor teamster union . which never got any better raise or benefits than non union but after Contrack 2 times within months raised dues. several yrs later the co moved and union got no severance and only thing they did to get the members another job was a poster for a commercial cdl training . so the next 30 yrs i never even applied to another co with union. also my neighbor a driver for one of the big package co found hes only going to get 1/3 of his expected pension because much of his time working for company covered by central state teamsters where the teamsters officials stole the pension funds so he had to work several years more than he planed and while he makes good money delivering in folorida in summers not easy job the older you get. i am a big fan of right to work no person should be forsed to join a union . which in many trades you had to have relative to join and dont dare be dark skin or female they were as racists as the demacrat party who loved slavery>> <<@chrismacqueen4891 says : Personally I don't see the problem with union busting. A business should have a right to offer the wage / benefits and working conditions they want and the workers should have the right to accept or deny an offer. Unions shouldn't be protected to some super standard as they are but should be simply workers coming together to try and use numbers to negotiate reasonable conditions and wages which the business should have an option to accept or refuse. Employers can't make everybody happy. There seems to be a trend with people believing they are the best at whet they do, so the employer should cater to their EVERY NEED. The fact is, if you are not happy and you do not do your job, someone else will. I stuck around when everyone else left.
