When you are not self-sufficient as a country, you "can't have your cake and eat it too," as the saying goes. "Somebody" else you are dependent on for your welfare will have leverage over you and can tell you what to do and what not to do. That is the reality of the world we live in. Is that a good thing or a bad thing, you may ask? Well, any country can withdraw financial aid from another country, if the recipient of that financial aid is deemed not worthy of it. On the other hand, the donor of the financial aid may have determined that continuing to support a corrupt and dictatorial regime as we have in Uganda today, may jeopardise the donor's reputation. It is also up to the donor to determine how they will use their financial leverage, even though innocent citizens of the recipient country may be the victims. Therefore, the only way to avoid being told "how to live their lives" by "somebody" else is to become self-sufficient. First research the national debt burden which is approaching 100trillions which ugandans are paying through heavy and over taxation yet the debt they are servicing is the very money which was swindled or embezzled by the speaker of parliament and her minority group of national robbers. Research about safe houses and torture chambers in Uganda, drones abducting people and those executing such missions etc etc etc. don't present what you don't know well.
