I believe in spanking because sometimes you need your children to understand how dangerous a situation or something they may have done is. I know growing up I probably got 4-5 spankings. We were taught to behave, and how to speak to people. When I see videos of teenagers getting in adults faces or telling police officers they can't arrest them, and they don't have to cooperate shocks me every time. I was taught to talk to people respectfully and to insist on being treated respectfully. I know if I approach someone aggressively, I should expect them to respond in kind. You only know your point of view. Most parents are trying to teach their children how to be successful, contributing citizens. Kicking a table by a 2-year-old is not being "bad", it is just being a 2-year-old. A 2-year-old isn't even old enough to understand cause and effect.
