Cows produce CO2 from the Carbon of plants they consume, enzymes involved and all... plants capture CO2 and make it part of themselves, which comes from the atmosphere where Carbon exists since before the Cretaceous age. Same for industry... Carbon just cycle around, and the meager methane (natural gas) and petroleum (raw oil) are but nothing, literally. Doing this to farmers is a crime against humanity, not only the destruction of a food source but also destroying grass land which is part of the carbon cycle.
