Think that's probably one of our greatest weaknesses. I'm commenting at this at the point when they're talking about gay marriage / rainbow flags in churches, and the funny thing is I don't think most people know WHY June is gay pride month, or why they use the rainbow flag. Or where that iconology comes from. Me personally, I don't get upset or really care if a gay or lesbian couple want to get married. If and when it comes to the confines to our church, I think that has more importance because of religious doctrine, but when it comes to a rule of law within the country, especially here in United States where they're supposed to be a separation of church and state, I see nothing wrong with people getting married because a marriage license has nothing to do with religion. Basically is a business contract, and that's why the state does it. Now when you start talking about it in a religious context, that's a different story. That's up to your personal choice to what you think is right and what isn't. That's my stance on that. My attitude is of a man and a woman who happen to be gay happened to love someone else who happens to be the same sex, I see nothing wrong with them getting into a lifelong relationship. But the reality is usually they're the ones who have the highest divorce rate with any sexual orientation. But getting back to my original point, a lot of the months of the year and the days of the week are actually named after various gods in pagan mythology. January is named after the god Janus for example, & June was originally named after the goddess Istar, or ishtara. Whatever name you want to go by. Even though she was a female god, she was a feminist, and she was the goddess of transgenderism and parades. The belief was that she decreed that men were supposed to behave like women, and women were supposed to behave like men; and very often followers of her sect would have monthly parades where they will go down the main streets are very cities where men would behave and dress up as women, and the women would try to behave as men. She supposedly believed in castrating the men, cutting off their genitals and making them a eunuch essentially, and the symbolism of the rainbow flag denotes you belong to a certain subsect within her cult depending on the color that you wore. If you wore red, you were in this group. If you were blue, you were in this group. So forth Don't want to sound strange when I make post like this, but this is actual history, and most people don't know their history and therefore don't know what they're looking at when they do look at an image or a symbol of something. This is something I've said many times before, but I'm pointing it out again in case somebody has never seen this before.
