Security companies would pay under the table to get contracts. Stealing contracts would lead to reputable security companies unable to survive in that type of a corrupt market. Prevailing wages $35 hr that was suppose to go directly to the guards would be watered down to $6 hr a guard. Corrupt companies kept the difference and the owners of those companies would be on cruises every month. I was unable to keep my business. I know somebody that reported it and it took 2 years to get addressed. NYS division of licensing and auditors were in on the take. Corrupt companies were made aware of what was being looked for. The corrupt companies cooked the books for audits.
