He is preventing consumers from being scammed. He has the skill to make sure they are getting the actual product they want and not a knock off. The very basis of retail sales is to buy low and sell high. He negotiates low enough prices from sellers that he is able to recondition the shoes and still provide an in demand product at a competitive price. I personally would never own a pair of shoes worth hundreds or thousands of dollars but I know people who do. This is a wonderful example of capitalism. No part of this is a scam. Plenty of people that are into these shoes would jump at the chance to not pay full retail for an authentic, reconditioned pair of shoes. This kid is going to make his first million before he's 21 because he has the drive, creativity, and know how to see a market that has been under valued and unseen until now. I have an iq in the 99th percentile. When I was 12 I wanted to learn to write computer code. My parents said it was a waste of time. They bought my sister a laptop. Years later they gave me a free netbook that came with my mom's new laptop and it couldn't do much of anything. Everyone always cheers so hard when 12 year olds chase their dreams and make it big.
