Normally, they will take the insert out and reverse it so the tightening knob is still on the back of their head when they put it on. Now..... I have seen guys wear their hardhats facing backwards WITHOUT turning the insert around. One guy told me that most of his work is done looking UP, so if the tightening strap is on his forehead, it give the hard hat a better hold without falling off. BUT...the bigger question is.... WHY is this NEWS and WHY would you waste your time discussing this?? Who gives a F***? I would often check things sent to me through snopes before I would forward that information on. Fast foward years later, I noticed they starting straight up lying or twisted words or lied by omission. One stand out moment was when they fact checked PJW about AOC yelling at an empty parking lot, they rated as false because it wasn't a parking lot, it was a road to a parking lot.
