How it garnered Oscar nominations in the major categories is beyond me.>> <<@realamerican5016 says : John if you're going to take a stand on this you have had to seen the other movies first or at least the majority of them. From what you said yourself you have no business even taking a stand on this so back off sir.>> <<@realamerican5016 says : It's really not a good movie at all in fact it's an awful movie.>> <<@CesarGarcia-bm6zf says : Who cares.>> <<@protosonic17 says : Oh gee people in better movies won. Go figure>> <<@vickyvanadium says : Greta and Margot both are talented and I guess wonderfull people but Barbie is not oscar worthy in any category.>> <<@dansprague2 says : Some breaking news on the Barbie Oscar snub: Officials are expected to announce they are scrapping the 9/11 memorial and replacing it with a Barbie Movie Snub Memorial, complete with reflecting pool and the names of those offended etched in stone. The International Criminal Court is clearing all cases to concentrate on prosecuting everyone who dared to not nominate Barbie in all categories, including Best Animated Short, and Best Documentary, along with all people who didn't think Barbie was not only the greatest movie ever, but the greatest thing in the history of humankind. The UN is planning an International Barbie Snub Day of Mourning. Anyone caught on that day not screaming in pain and agony from this horrific injustice will be summarily executed. Finally, the Nobel Prize committee will announce today that they are awarding all prizes, including Physics and Chemistry, to the greatest director, nay, the greatest human in history, Greta Gerwig. Obviously, the CEO and Chairman of THE PATRIARCHY, John Womanhater, has been put to death, along with all board members, his sons, and his chauffeur. You poor poor babies, how do you bear the pain and injustice?>> <<@melval4135 says : Barbie really!!!>> <<@tenfour7249 says : Those who think Margot was snubbed? Who is the Best actress nominee that she should replace? 😂 Wow people are so stupid. Their argument is basically lets NOT nominate Ryan Goslin too. Anna is spot on it is hollow and ridiculous with no logical basis to it.>> <<@tomlybbert398 says : Many great movies and actors didnt get nomination or awardsand didnt cry like bitches..get over it better yet get a helmet (CO)>> <<@johnwebb2442 says : How can you nominate a film for best picture and not include the person who directed it?>> <<@DionMckissack says : We should nominate despicable 3 and flash for the Oscars. Or the next toy story wtf is going on these days? Its just more of the dumming down of America. Poor things is an actual great movie with amazing concepts and art an acting....all the above. Barbie should be in the kids nickelodeon Oscars.>> <<@DionMckissack says : U named all great movies can we really put Barbie next to Oppenheimer? The world is crumbling down. We literally are living in upside down world. The leftist are freaking nuts. We have to nominate the pink movie or else? This channel is ridiculous. Who cares really in the grand scheme of life. Barbie? Is in in Oscar nominations this is so dumb>> <<@greensea66 says : Who tf cares about the oscars?>> <<@traydaniel0403 says : Here are the lists of nominees that I hope they’d won: Best Picture: Barbie Best Director: Christopher Nolan- Oppenheimer Best Actor: Cillian Murphy- Oppenheimer Best Actress: Lily Gladstone – Killers of the Flower Moon as Mollie Burkhart Best Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr. – Oppenheimer as Lewis Strauss or Ryan Gosling – Barbie as Ken Best Supporting Actress: Danielle Brooks – The Color Purple as Sofia Best Original Screenplay: Maestro – Bradley Cooper and Josh Singer Best Adapted Screenplay: Barbie – Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach; based on characters created by Ruth Handler Best Animated Feature: Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse or The Boy and The Heron Best International Feature Film: The Zone of Interest Best Live - Action Short Film: The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar – Wes Anderson and Steven Rales Best Animated Short Film: War Is Over! Wilson can accept.>> <<@SlumberPartyLofi says : Margot getting nominated for producing is a big deal! Way more powerful than winning for acting. Margot was boring, more like a model than an actress. Her dance sequence was only ok. America was fantastic and far more dynamic. Ryan was great AND the writing for Ken was simply way better and engaging, Greta has admitted to writing so much more for him and they pictured Ryan the whole time. His dance sequence and singing was fantastic. The technical stuff like art direction, I think, is far more worthy of an award-the film making was great, retro and innovative. It's ironic AF but I'm good.>> <<@giancarlocoustenitzoff1640 says : So the outrage was hollow and ridiculous... Like a freaking Barbie movie 🤣🤣🤣>> <<@tashaburgess3753 says : Haven’t watched the Oscar’s in over 15 years!! I refuse to watch their systemic biased program.>> <<@sg-vp2qg says : I saw the movie (because it was the only one playing in the local little cinema), but I don't think there was an oscar-worthy performance in the thing. I couldn't believe that Ryan Gosling was nominated (or that he was cast as Ken).>> <<@gilbertlopez3544 says : Hollywood all garbage movies suck today, moves in the 30s 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s much better, with better actors and great moves. Today Hollywood moves Trash😮😮😮😮>> <<@TheLastLineLive says : Everyone intellectually honest knows that Michael Cera should have got a nod, there wouldnt have been a Barbie movie without Allen.>> <<@tobiwan001 says : A movie about a doll with pseudo-social-commentary and some DEMAND an Oscar for this trash. It's just another case of female entitlement.>> <<@theprodigalheel3942 says : And by uproar, they meen the 20,000 people that went to watch it.>> <<@handyadams3319 says : It is a fantasy movie about a doll. What person in their right mind gives a f*ck about it? Only professional whiners about the perpetually offended. And why the f*ck is this even news?>> <<@denisemass6081 says : I liked the movie but oh well .Not effecting my life.>> <<@racebannon3672 says : i could see best director being a snub MAYBE but it's ridiculous that ppl think Margot Robbie should be anywhere near best actress for this. I mean did you even see the other movies?>> <<@cecekays7980 says : the barbie movie is ok, but its not the best movie of 2023 by far>> <<@ghadi202X says : I watched Barbie with the sound off, much better movie, I do the same when i watch ana on tyt, muted>> <<@JamesSmith-ts7mu says : In case you're wondering, white women are behind toxic feminism. NOBODY watches the Oscars anymore. 🤦‍♂️>> <<@nodatastored684 says : Ask Science Fiction lovers and comic book fans how it feels???? Decades of this snubbing>> <<@joshuah9109 says : There are 10 Best Picture nominations, but only 5 Best Director. 5 directors are going to be snubbed by default, it's a law of averages.>> <<@justforgetaboutit5987 says : Idk but the Barbie movie was too… too weird and not Oscar worthy>> <<@joshuah9109 says : Moulin Rogue had elaborate sets and difficult musical numbers. It was nominated for Best Picture, but not Best Director. Jaws was nominated for Best Director, but Spielberg didn't get a Direction nomination. Same thing happened to him again when The Color Purple ('85) was nominated for 11 Academy Awards. Taxi Diver earned a Best Picture nod, but Martin Scorsese wasn't nominated for director. I'm not arguing rather Gerwig was snubbed or not, what I am saying is it's nothing new.>> <<@deltavagen9796 says : This movie made over a Billion Dollars... Wtf is her problem..>> <<@MattiusW says : Those poor millionaires.>> <<@mmeis2389 says : The term "plastic" as a character trait comes to mind. Do we still need a barbie to direct our little girls toward that kind of life? No we dont.>> <<@ianw0ng says : first world problem... meanwhile in third world countries..>> <<@paulajf4205 says : It's hard to feel sorry for an huber rich, gorgeous white celebrity who has been given much praise and money for Barbie already. Margo is crying all the way to the bank. Enough! I'm infinitely more disappointed that Greta Lee didn't get a leading role nod. You don't hear her whining. With all this uproar over Margo, people aren't noticing that America Ferrer was nominated in a supporting category. How about giving her some love?>> <<@paulajf4205 says : I enjoyed Barbie, but this snub uproar is ridiculous! 1 Ryan G is nominated in a supporting role category to the more prestigious lead nod, which is all Margo would have qualified for. 2 Ryan gave an unexpected performance. The Oscars loves unexpected. 3 There's no one in the leading actress noms that deserves to be bumped for Margo.>> <<@js7733 says : Barbie was a steaming pile of trash. How it got any nominations shows it’s a bunch biased libs in the Oscar’s. Isn't she Barbie? Where's the acting?>> <<@mrcreed1256 says : While I think the movie had a good message and all, it was far from being Oscar worthy. It was a pretty standard "popular fictional characters goes into real world and gets influenced by it" storyline. It was a silly and unoriginal movie.>> <<@drfunkology8164 says : I watched with my girlfriend. it was Ok . maybe the nominations it got were charity? Must be a lite field of talent. it was just good.>> <<@Wens0808 says : It wasn’t a good movies>>
