<<@jeffreysmith2069 says : Intrusive tech-.>> <<@vpolite1 says : Companies are already putting this technology on their vehicles.>> <<@josephvadasz1238 says : Sounds like expensive technology to add on too which would increase the cost of cars>> <<@robwin0072 says : Ana, let's consider this... Six years ago, which takes us back to 2017, marked the first year of Trump's presidency. Intriguingly, Fox Broadcasting Station did not express concern then. We must question the motivations and timing behind this reporting. Currently, in the US, this issue does not warrant significant attention. Let's not use it as a tool to unjustly criticize the Democrats.>> <<@garudastan says : With respect, I think anti-speeding will improve road safety especially in residential and school zones>> <<@TheLfamily24 says : Wow and then she says there is a speed problem but what about drug over doses!!! Extremely lame of Ana. Very disappointed like what’s happening with you>> <<@TheLfamily24 says : Ana said hire more cops. Insane. Insane. Insane>> <<@TheLfamily24 says : Shut up Ana. My best friend just died because someone hit them in a residential going 90 miles an hour. The person had a heart attack and lost control. If there was a limit damage would have significant de teased. I’d argue the person may have hit someone softly and possibly gotten quicker medical assistance>> <<@priyaakajedimindtrickdrago1193 says : I like driving fast on the motorway and I'm not proud of it. If it means saving lives and law enforcement can spend time on other crime then how is that a bad thing? I think Anna's thinking on this is just selfish really. I wouldn't be happy about it but because I can see the benefits I definitely would not mind.>> <<@Key_Locke says : How about: Every mile driven while going more than 5 miles over the speed limit will result in a $50 fine being mailed to your address.>> <<@johnwilson8908 says : I hear ya. Hell no. And you actually don’t even need more cops on the road for speeders. There are auto radar camera systems in my home state that are set up in construction zones. Automatically clocks you. Take a pic of your license plate. And 5 days later you can a written warning for your first offense. I know. I got one. Guess what. I don’t speed in construction zones anymore.>> <<@MrVoldross says : More cops is never the answer for starters, they are a response force not a pre-emptive measure. While this idea doesn't thrill me, I've long thought that it was weird to allow cars to go well over 100mph while the vast majority of roads are capped between 25-70mph. It would be annoying as hell to have this feature but also when you drive for a living like me you get tired of people driving crazy fast and either crashing or causing someone else to and shutting down the roads during rush hour every single day😮‍💨>> <<@xtscarfacem8255 says : We do have other problems you are right... why dont you talk about those too>> <<@xtscarfacem8255 says : I thought bringing up how cars were regulated was a main point to bring up when ralking about regulating guns... now yall are againt that too... have yall seen how people drive lately? I say just dont allowbcarsnto go over certain speed. Just like some trucks already have. Dont put the pedal and slowing down automatically, those do sound annoying. But cmon... no one needs to go above 80mph to get to work.>> <<@JonnyMilany says : If it helps save lives, I’m for it. Don’t really care how “inconvenient” it is for people. My wife was recently hit by someone speeding, almost took her life. If this technology was around, maybe it could have changed things. The automobile is extremely deadly and people are careless. And let’s be real, cops can’t see everyone on the road, no matter how many you hire. It’s a privilege to be driving an automobile on the streets, not your god given right. Anna, I respect the hell out of you, but I don’t agree with you on this one>> <<@noGodsNeeded says : When the technology is reliable, I'll be in favor. Too many idiots thinking they're a character in _2 Fast 2 Furious_. I would prefer a timed feature that allows you to exceed a percentage of the speed limit for ~10 seconds for safe passing, such as passing someone doing 50 mph on 55 mph, two-lane road.>> <<@sorooshusa says : Hey guys the republican Anna doesnt want the speed to be banned but punish the vehicle owner but when it comes to guns he wants the guns banned instead of gun owner. This is why she is not leftists. We on the left are consistent. If we are banning guns, we are banning speeding too because holding people accountable hasnt worked for guns. PEOPLE DIE when you give them the opportunity to kill and the data is crystal clear on this SPEED KILLS. period. its data which means facts.>> <<@laurataylor8717 says : My car already has a couple obnoxious features, but I believe I can deactivate them. I haven't yet because it can be handy if I have a car in my blind spot and a light blinks on that side of the car so I don't change lanes at that time. It's annoying if I need to change lanes during rush hour traffic, so I put on a turning signal to indicate to other drivers I need to change lanes, making my intention to change lanes known, but my car flashes a light and beeps at me. I do not want automatic anti-speeding technology. I don't like speed check cameras either. I've heard there is a place in the world that does a time stamp average to track average speed, judging how long it takes a car to go from point A to point B and average the mph within. I'd be ok with that.>> <<@stephanie8167 says : What if you're trying to get out of the way f something and need to speed up? There are reasons one needs to speed>> <<@OP3735 says : America is weird>> <<@stevenj9970 says : Ana’s bun is too tight on this one….lol>> <<@diversityisweakness9051 says : she just gave a PERFECT argument for gun control. why punish the people observing laws. go after the bad guys….>> <<@Optimistichumanist says : Fox News is always so desperate for a boogie man it’s just nauseating. Of course I see Anna’s point but as some people pointed out in the comments there’s already so much technology needing the week feeling it on so many ways it seems silly to argue about this small point.>> <<@modquad18 says : It’s a great idea - posted limit + 10 mph. Very trivial to do reliably. Should also disable cell phones, except for gps app, when in motion over a road.>> <<@WaynesWorld2859 says : My dad always taught us driving was a privilege not a right. And that's why him or the state could take it away.>> <<@WaynesWorld2859 says : Speeding is against the law and a car can be a weapon just like a gun. To many people are irresponsible with them both because a lot of the time alcohol is in the mix. I don't think this technology is the answer it will just create a black market for cars without it and auto technicians that can remove it . After all there is a time and place for fast cars guns and even alcohol But the thing is when it's your loved one killed by one of these irresponsible people that 12,000 fatalities starts to seem more important. Not to mention the amount of men women and children that are mamed for life. You said it yourself we got used to seatbelts.>> <<@gotham61 says : Based on this video, I want technology that will warn me if Ana is within one mile of me on any roadway.>> <<@gotham61 says : Ana: "I don't want technology in my car that's going to automatically do anything." What about the technology that automatically stops your tires from skidding when you push on the brake pedal too hard? Or the technology that automatically inflates the airbags when you hit another car? Or the stability control technology that stops your car from flipping over during an emergency maneuver? In your comments you ignore the fact that the speed control can be easily overridden in any situation by just pushing the gas pedal a bit harder.>> <<@ultrapotus says : I’m not gonna retaliate. Wtf.>> <<@ultrapotus says : Anna will be agreeing with all of Fox by end of the week. Insanity.>> <<@SamuraiBlade101 says : Depends what they mean by a quiet village but speed limits are often 60mph on country roads in the UK 🤷🏻‍♂️>> <<@mamatrain100 says : Constitutional rights? Laura, what about women's rights?they>> <<@ha-in-your-faceguy1368 says : Robbers that know how to hack will love this.>> <<@kattmenace9133 says : Ana, you frickjn' libertarian, for the love of god, you are not old or disconnected enough to be misusing language like that. You seem like a screaming child. Cease.>> <<@kijros100 says : So.... Guns NO, but you can plow into a families minivan doing 100+? To argue against this is to literally say I SHOULD BE ABLE TO BREAK THE LAW. The speed limit is a law. This is a prime example of what you accuse republicans of doing. I should have MY rights that I WANT but you shouldnt. Be better.as someone who lost a child due to a drunk speeder, (wasnt even that fast 40 in a 25) i agree with this.>> <<@kabirjones8563 says : Shame on you! I never thought that TYT would join the anti climate nutters. I want you all to watch the movie 'Dont look up' it should have had a clip of you moaning about having to slow down a bit. This is so much bull shit!!! Shame on you. I live in the UK and you are talking from the USA. Shame on you, Is this the honesty you boast about? Before you comment on The EU get yourself a EU correspondent. Climate change is real and we have to fix it and that will means us changing our habits, get used to it you selfish morons. The latest tech does not slow you down, it doesnt let you break the local speed limit in the first place and I like it that, in school areas our speed limit is 20mph it saves lives, so sorry you might have to slow down a bit. It saddens me you have stooped so low, using a FOX NEWS report and didnt check it out!>> <<@dgerome6981 says : Very dangerous to have the car automatically slow>> <<@blackice11z says : 40mph top legal speed in the EU?! The c*nt f*ckin what?! No way that kinda shit passes anywhere in the US. Even California, outside LA the average speed of freeways is 80mph, 50mph average on surface roads. If you're not in a neighborhood 40mph is so slow the postal trucks are going to pass you.>> <<@mrsobrian6032 says : Interesting video. In the summer I was in England and rental car was bossy. Beeping because I'm close to hedges - duh that is what the tiny roads are like. I went on the highway, I think M3, and the stupid car was beeping that I was speeding - I was not. And tried to slow me down, totally unsafe!>> <<@edman9765 says : It's not control, Ana. It's a step forward in making automobiles safer for all of us. Too many idiots have a driver's license and knowing they can't turn their car into a speeding land missile makes me feel a little bit better every time my wife or daughter leaves the house.>> <<@vandal280 says : It's not that hard to imagine emergency situations where you would need to speed. Even if they are not all that common, having a machine override your human decision just seems scary and stupid. I hate this so much, and I really hope it never comes to the US>> <<@LeetMasterAce says : Another bad take from Ana.>> <<@davidowen5312 says : Since when do lefties and TYT used “based”?>> <<@alexandergriffith4517 says : Jesus Christ, as someone who's survived more accidents than advisable, we need that technology.>> <<@Human-Equals-Garbage says : So, you're pretty much saying speeding is a constitutional right somehow? Got it....>> <<@deidragallegos8139 says : I'm done with tyt you guys are such bs you side with Ingram ...done>> <<@jolantru8817 says : Weird take. For consistency you should feel the same for drink driving, catalytic converters, seatbelts and leaded gas. Not saying I agree or disagree with you, but its odd the things you choose to agree with. The data is clear for all these things including speeding. They all cause higher numbers of deaths. BUT it's upto you as to the limit of acceptable deaths in return for "freedom". This is more of an intellectual argument because I too don't agree with mandatory speed limiting technology. How about giving people a choice, if they want it or not. You can use the same argument for gun control. What is your limit for acceptable deaths? Your take here is inconsistant with your position on gun control, if reducing deaths is your standard.>> <<@Toerce says : Yeah bc all of these car mod people won’t bypass that…>> <<@taylorphoenix8 says : Thank you Ana! We don’t know what people have going on in their lives, and it is my personal opinion that technology that hampers peoples ability to control the speed of their car will only lead to them compensate by performing more risky maneuvers to get around and away from dumb drivers. I say dumb, because I don’t know what else to call it. That person driving under speed in the left lane who won’t get the hell out, and you won’t have the ability to overtake them. If anything, you can match their speed, and they can match yours, and both of you will plateau at the same speed, and you’ll just stay stalemated. Just ask semi truck drivers of which I am one why fleet trucks suck? There’s always that handful of drivers on the road doing something they’re not supposed to do and you can’t get around them, you can’t pass them, you have no recourse, and so now we gotta get crafty to remedy the situation. And getting crafty with an 80,000 lbs-60 foot long vehicle is not something that people want, but it’s what people will end up doing on a mass scale with their personal vehicles as well when faced with the same situation. If we can’t get people to edit their driving behavior, then we’re resigned to “scare them off” to choose another course of action… something truckers call “the drunken wobble.” You’ve probably seen it a time or two. Don’t worry it’ll come to you. But yeah, this is definitely nanny state BS, and too intrusive. Thanks for being brave enough to say so. 🫶>> <<@MrBlackfalconuk says : Nanny state - you mean where people are offended by you swear at them than shooting them, does not allow gay rights or the discussion of Trans, where the state intervines in whether you have a baby or not, yeah I agree YOU do have other issues - GET SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE and GET GUN CONTROL.>>
