A deep fake of a minor is depicting them in a sexual act which is likely just as illegal as having real pictures. The issue is like what Cenk said, how do we police this? Many teenagers admit to sending nudes or sexually provocative pictures to significant others and friends and I’m pretty sure most are aware that sending images like that is essentially trafficking child porn yet they do it anyway. The one site that actually looked like it generated the images from scratch, would only do inanimate objects and all the images it produced looked like they were pasted together from a dozen different images.
