<<@forestwoods5499 says : It use to take 2 years to get to top production pay. Then it took 8 years up until January 1, 2024. Now it takes 4 years to get to top pay in production. However the majority of A25A head lines are manned by people who have under 2 years. There is a 75-90% turn over. This means that the main money making part for Toyota is made by the least paid workers. This is because when people get enough seniority to move, they go to different lines that are cleaner, safer and works regular hours instead of the six and seven day work weeks. While TMMMO has gone to four day and three day work weeks, there is still a need for workers to work overtime. TMMMO announced their spring pay rates and bragged on how they have increased the top production wages $2.88, yet the bottom production workers got 25 cents for the first six months, 25 cents the second six months, and 50 cents after one year. So the first two years is only close to what other companies starting pay.>> <<@fawnlliebowitz1772 says : Boo hoo, quit if you don't like it>> <<@kfbob364 says : Viva la Mexico!>> <<@angelmatos9143 says : Congrats UAW. Now we can increase the cost of the services we offer as well. Wage increases mean increases in the cost of service and products. Not exactly a win for everyone, but everyone makes more money.>> <<@acpadilla7146 says : That's what's good about unions. When union members' wages rise, the nonunion shops and businesses also have to raise their employees' wages to not lose their employees. I'm a IBEW local 22 member and know that a number of nonunion shops raised their employees' wages to $43/hr thanks to our Union's collective bargaining agreement.>> <<@noswayjose says : Toyota being non union makes sense why they are built so much better than American cars>> <<@julianhinton7766 says : People who never worked a trade job or have never been a part of a union always have the hottest takes possible about unions.>> <<@Dreamville12-pb5sg says : THIS IS WHY UNIONS ARE Great!!!! You and Ana look like fratricidal dunces claiming President Biden (not "Byron") did nothing for the cause. Neither of you know any of the history or organized labor. President Biden brought them positive attention and put them at the top of the front page with his visit and by joining union workers on the picket line. Educate yourselves and stop being so profoundly ignorant of what liberal Democratic Party politicians have done for organized labor in this country. We have a positive story to tell and ONCE AGAIN TYT is helping Republicans, right down to Woz using Trump slurs against Democrats. Then Ana must be on drugs to think abolishing the minimum wage will somehow raise wages because of Scandinavia. She sounds like a talking head at the Heritage Foundation. Of course union-buster Cenk had to sit this one out.>> <<@oriontheron6478 says : If you want Better Sports Video Games, We as a people MUST STOP buying ANY EA SPORTS GAMES, stop buying Madden and EA will be forced to program that game better and make a better more functional football game, or keep playing Madden as the garbage that it is>> <<@oriontheron6478 says : Shawn is a Gangster>> <<@daveadam435 says : Told ya all months ago this would happen & got bombarded in the comments!!!>> <<@solowolf7418 says : Umm.. Was you are once again wrong. President Biden showed up at the picket line which was both a huge morale boost and a big media focus for the strikers. It even caused Trump to hold a fake rally with fake UAW workers holding signs saying Union members for Trump at a non union business. You really need to do some research before speaking because you are getting owned by yourself. All operations would ceize, and everyone was invited to the speech. Once I was told, that this one politician gave credit to management, to the corporation, to anybody and everybody- even to himself!- for a successful launch of our new vehicles. Everyone with the exception of the UAW workers who built the doggone thing! Needless to say some of my team members came back upset. When they asked me why I didn't attend. My answer: "Why should I? You guys attended so you can see for yourselves why I never show up for them dog & pony shows". I learned early on to see right thru the deception.>> <<@papasom3337 says : Federal minimum wage is another name for state sanctioned corporate slavery. The reason people bought them in the 1960s was because Union-built cars were unreliable. The union workers don't care as much about their quality. Toyota cars are still more reliable.>>
