What I'm seeing so far is great, seems you're trying to be faithful to the source material. Lawhead finds a great balance of being historically accurate, with a dash of fantasy. His Gwenhyvar is one of my favorite fictional characters. She doesn't need a man, but neither is she hanging on his every word and uber submissive. Merlin's journey in the books of finding balance between his talents as a druid and his faith as a Christian was presented in a way that wasn't preaching but was frank about the differences. The books made a great story of heroism, courage, and doing right even when it wasn't practical without turning into a dudebro testosterone fest. So far, the bits I'm seeing are capturing that. You guys have the chance to do this show the right way. Please don't just stop at the story and the characters, but also the costuming, and especially the military equipment. Hollywood wasn't built-in a day, there were plenty of flops before it started to have the infrastructure and success and it was known for.. I'd also make sure to produce movies by anyone who doesn't want to push socialist propaganda, and just want to release a movie for people to be entertained.. Maybe time to do some head hunting for people who have been making independent movies who may want to become directors of larger films>>
