Also, because of the increase in use of social media, young people are being bombarded with a multitude of information that is promoting all sorts of dysfunction. Parents are being manipulated with highly unethical partial truths. The worst being that any delay will result in their child committing suicide. This is a lie. The rates of suicide in children is extremely low.(around 10/100,000). However, the rates of suicide in trans people is possibly as high as 10 times this amount. The causes of suicide are extremely complicated and nuanced however. Children are becoming more tricky when it comes to manipulating their parents and some sites promoting transitioning have been exposed as offering the threat of suicide as a way of getting parents to hasten the transition process. Studies prove that suicide is contagious which once again indicates how suggestible children are. The medical profession and education professionals are falling well short of providing all the information to both children and their parents to help them understand and allow them to have constructive discussions in order to make decisions that will have far reaching consequences. No one should be rushed into this under any circumstances. The best decisions are always those that are based on truth not propaganda. I would like to see legislation so I can choose where my property taxes go; I don't want to support schools running amok. PARENTS NEED TO HOME SCHOOL. Pull your kids out. When I had to home school for one year w/ each kid - which I gave myself an F at - I would do it again in a heart beat if they were still school aged. PARENTS CANNOT MESS UP THE EDUCATION WORSE THAN SCHOOLS ARE DOING RIGHT NOW. And there is tons of community support for it too. DON'T LET SCHOOLS RUIN OUR KIDS. Its parents' responsibility.
