AI could have very interesting uses for sure, even some that would not destroy jobs (could you imagine AI that can with a 100% precision automatically tag and catalogue the contents of pictures or videos, so that you could ask a search system "hey, search for pictures with this and that", like a google images but on steroids, but no, we are choosing to develop the most dangerous uses of AI, instead. Also, see the advances in AI for cloning voices.
