bottom line is, The Founders never wanted democracy in the United States and so they gave us a Constitutional Republic because they knew democracy can and will lead to majority vote 51% bullies the 49% and chaos and tyranny. in a nutshell democracy run amok is socialism. democracy is what WE HAVE WITH BIDEN/HARRIS AT THE WHEEL. So how's that working out so far? Let's reteach/Learn about the Constitution and how a Republic is supposed to work.

Farron Cousins is SPOT ON. That is EXACTLY right. By tne way, the same goes with media. Nobody trusts it ... but the Democrats believe the problem is Conservative - Right Wing media and the Republicans believe the problem is "Progressive" (meaning mainstream, in their minds) media. THAT'S who each side doesn't trust. Not ALL media

This poll isn't all that surprising, they said it in the video but this country has been sold, bought, and paid for a long time ago by large corporate interest. We live in what is essentially a coast to coast major corporation where the workers are essentially dealing with the conditions associated with chinese sweat shops. Tbh another major part of what's contributing to this as well, I believe, is that these interest groups that essentially run this nation don't give the american people what they want, and even in a fake democracy you have to give the people what they want at least once in awhile; just to sort of feed the illusion that they're still in charge. But that hasn't happened and never will happen as long as things stay the same.

I can't speak for everyone, but I literally _can't_ vote in primary elections, because both parties are so full of shit, I refuse to register with either of them, even though I _am_ registered to vote, so I'm stuck choosing between the losers the parties selected with no say whatsoever in whether or not they deserve to be on the ballot, in the first place. As for the incumbents, being from NY we have probably the prime example in Schumer. The thing is he does do _juuuust_ enough for his constituents to have legitimate gains he can point to when it come time to run campaign ads... and when he _does_ have opposition (which he doesn't most times), they're even _worse_ than he is (as hard as that may be to believe)... so yeah, we keep sending him back, as irritated as we might be about it. Voting for someone purely because they're not the incumbent is how you get Trump. "I'm sick and tired of all these crooked politicians with their shady, backroom deals! I'm voting for the openly _brazen_ crook, instead!!"

Its almost like people think that having no chain-of-custody, no security other than someone looking to a scribble and accepting it, universals ballots that go out to every, and having the party (that will do anything to win like lie about Russia for 4 years and censor the media), having a record of all the voters names and their addresses. Its almost like you could easily cheat and your vote doesn't matter.
>>
<<@Creaserunner
says :
It’s no wonder that this is happening. However, people do not know how to critically thinking, or not smart enough to know that what we have now is a bastardization of democracy. With things like citizens united, our republic is basically dead, and we are controlled by an oligarchy. Politicians are paid and bought for and they need to spend all of their time raising money instead of doing the business of the people. so it’s not democracy per se that’s failing or bad it’s how it’s been mutated and deformed by corporate interests and the wealthy. They want to defund Education and they have successfully and then blame schools for the problems. So many people going through that system, especially in the south, have not learned the critical thinking skills needed to have a thriving middle-class, and a thriving democracy. So the people in power want to keep the electric ignorant, and therefore they will maintain power. And now this pole people have bought into it.

Try something different as a voting citizen? You mean vote someone else in who will immediately fall into the same entrenched corruption? How is that different? What else can we do? It would take legislation which would not pass as it effects those who vote on it who are corrupt.
