The cherry on the sundae was the Jan 6 protest at the Capital, which blew up in his face and is still being used to suppress political dissent. What we need is an Andrew Jackson, and Trump isn't an Andrew Jackson. I dont understand how that could possibly be a failure. I was an avid Trump supporter, voted for him in the 2016 primary and in both general elections, but Trump already lost to sleepy Joe, it makes no sense to run him again, even though there was massive election interference with the suitcase scandal in fulton county GA and the mail-in fraud in Pennsylvania, Trump failed to pursue the fraud in court, opting instead to bitch about it online instead of doing something about it; it's his own failure. Trump had some successes, such as building a considerable portion of the wall, energy independence, tax breaks leading to the longest bull-market in American history, killing Solamani, pulling troops out of Syria, appointing three Supreme Court Judges, and banning mentally ill transgenders from the military. Despite these successes Trump sucks at hiring people; he is a terrible judge of character: ie. Jeff Sessions, Bill Bar, Jon Bolton. They were all terrible. And he failed to drain the swamp like he promised; didn't fire a single person at the FBI, CIA, or ATF. Also, he was weak on the 2nd Amendment as he banned bump stocks. Worst of all, Trump handed full control of our country over to Dr. Fauci for 10 months and let the left wing governors lock everyone down. Unacceptable. Desantis never once locked Florida down during covid, he was the only sane leader in the USA. On top of that he made it illegal for companies to require the vaccine as a condition for employment. He also combats the cancer that is the LGBT+ community with the bill that banned sexual materials for elementary students, and drag queen story hours. Desantis is not afraid to shy away from culture issues, which cannot be said about Trump. Desantis also supports abolishing the Federal Income tax and the IRS, which would be amazing. DeSantis and the USA do not owe Trump anything, being a politician is called "service" for a reason. If you are not providing value to the USA, we do not owe you anything.
