He is an entertainer and not a journalist. And then there was the Dominion case. He said he had good sources from inside Fox who said that a verbal agreement was made between them and Dominion that Tucker was to be taken off the air as a condition of their settlement. He said that Fox offered to axe Hannity instead, but Dominion said no, they wanted Tucker off. He also said, again, according to his sources, that amazing as it sounds, the upper echelon at Fox honestly didn't know how popular Tucker was with their audience. So, it wasn't "a biggie" in their minds to drop his show. That last point would seem to be confirmed by Roger Ailes's widow, Elizabeth. I listened to an interview with her recently, where she said that Rupert Murdoch is incompetent at running a TV network, particularly one with conservative content. She said Ailes made it look easy, which gave Murdoch a false sense of confidence that he could pull it off. She said he was sinking the network Ailes built. The reason I had a hard time believing the Dominion story was because Tucker didn't really talk about them. He complained once about the voting machines in AZ, due to the election fiasco there in 2022, but he didn't name the brand. He just said, "We should get rid of these voting machines." However, Mike Lindell said about a month before Tucker was taken off the air that when Tucker visited AZ, and met with Lindell privately, he basically said he suspected there was voting machine manipulation in 2020, based on the evidence he had since seen. Tucker hadn't talked about this publicly, though.
