<<@Ana-vz3uj says : The idea that we can overcome climate change and still live the kind of lives we’ve been living all this time is a fantasy. Let’s just keep clinging to that delusion while the world burns around us.>> <<@BubbyHarvey-q6d says : You tell bidden to kiss or ass>> <<@Revenant_Dancer says : Takes a lot of strip mining, fossil fuels and slave labor to make batteries>> <<@gerlandkent6377 says : this, would not do me any good because I live in the rural and it takes longer to get some place.>> <<@mikalmos369 says : I see a lot of comments and hear about using hybrids to transition or a slower transition. Unfortunately this is really no longer an option as we have dragged our feet and kick the can down the road for far too long to the point where we are past the The Tipping Point of exponential feedback and environmental collapse. It's happening folks it's already been happening for quite some time and not too long ago the evidence is starting to show all around us that it's speeding up. This is the whole crisis model of care that comes with unregulated capitalism. We have to change our whole economically system as part of this process. I'm sorry folks but the party is over. The whole world is going to have to come together to make this work which means putting aside the military budgets and refocusing our efforts on saving our Collective asses.>> <<@jesha7425 says : What is so bad about hybrid vehicles>> <<@eplvn1982 says : I swear yall need to run for president. Absolutely agree with you!!!>> <<@philipwoodgate9555 says : The whole reality of electric cars is this, the technology has to improve to bring prices down, government subsidies will not work very well.>> <<@brandonyoung-kemkes1128 says : Extra work trickles down>> <<@brandonyoung-kemkes1128 says : You know, the availability of gas stations was an issue when combustion engines first came out. It was a growing pain that needed to be worked through. Learning from that and knowing that we could possibly make hybrids, I think the transition needs to be a more transitional transition. It seems too much of a cold, turkey operation. It’s either gasoline or electricity until charging stations more widely available all electric vehicles would be ill advised. This would give people the peace of mind concerning energy availability and allow the infrastructure to gradually be put in place for all electric as demand increases, and profitability is established. You can’t just put a bunch of charging stations everywhere they require maintenance and they need to profit. We have charging stations here in a small town where out of the way if you knew about it, you could charge, but they sit there idly with no users because there aren’t many electric car drivers in my area. Why this is such a hard concept to understand is beyond me I am by no means a genius. Also, maybe power companies could get out of the way of individuals trying to install solar, so the issue of availability can be addressed. Any power company that thinks it can provide the needs of its citizens into the future all by itself is delusional.>> <<@brandonyoung-kemkes1128 says : Wouldn’t it stand to reason that, as the popularity of the vehicle increases And given another decade, almost wouldn’t the cost of production and battery technology improve, possibly making it financially more competitive with regular gasoline driven vehicles?>> <<@FrederickMalley says : I foresee used dealers popping up over the state line with Arizona and Nevada. Where "Gas guzzling Garys Used Trucks" buys a batch of brand new pickups from a ford, chevy or ram dealership. Now the trucks are used and they will sell them to CA customers with a temp tag. Ca customer takes temp tag to DMV and gets their regular plate.>> <<@Marc816 says : Vote crazy old Joe OUT next year!!!!! It's that simple!!!!!>> <<@xtscarfacem8255 says : Heavily.... I mean heavily invest in creating a battery or better way to store energy!!!! I'm sure someone out there is working on it but we saw what happens when people focus and really invest in something they need... the vaccine. We don't have a problem of energy. We have massive amounts of it... to store it is a whole different issue.>> <<@danieldavis3565 says : Great commentary by Ana. In Europe it is the same thing. The burden for transforming the economy is fully thrusted upon ordinary citizens that are basically compelled to invest their whole live savings - if they even have some - without sufficient economic assistance by the governments. On the one side, it is portrayed as necessary and citizens forced to change invest heavily, on the other side nobody is really concerned with the financial rift this is going to cause...>> <<@williamhauser3686 says : I strongly believe in protecting the environment, but I agree with you 150%. This is bad policy.>> <<@icaruscarinae says : Only Tesla is trickling it down...and only because they are undercutting others on cost get a larger share of the market.>> <<@adams4558 says : Friggin’ old corporate dems… cannot wait ‘til baby boomers and older are replaced by millennials and gen z>> <<@gilbertlopez3544 says : Not going to happen maybe in 50 years Democrats got there head up there A--😂😂😂😂😮😮😮>> <<@bloodcoyote4323 says : what happened to solar powered cars an solar powered panels for houses. if the Us government was serious about saving the planet they would provide all of this for free. In the long run saving grid pressures to preform an the planet along with american's pocket books>> <<@ronaldchampagne3430 says : We are paying MORE FOR EVERYTHING , not just cars . How are electric cars saving the planet when the electricity is still produced by fossil fuel ? "Climate change" is just another liberal hustle . What do these liberals do ....first they talk , then they take ! They don't create wealth ...they confiscate from others . California , that bastion of liberal hope and change has even gone as far as banning gas powered cars entirely ....you can't even buy a gas lawn mower . They push people towards electric ....WHEN THE AVAILABLE ELECTRIC POWER CANT EVEN KEEP THE LIGHTS ON .>> <<@itsallgood1972 says : The worse they make every day life for us....the LESS we concentrate on what garbage they are. And focus on getting them OUT. This old PALE maggot is running again. I hope u ppl learned something.>> <<@WhiteDudes4Kamala says : Ban gas cars and add government subsidies for Chinese made electric car batteries. Is he trying to turn us back into a developing country?>> <<@brickrigsandstuff3981 says : This girl is as dumb as a brick, she clearly has no clue about ev cars and their costs. I own one, and the charger cost $1000 to install considering I have saved at least twice that in a year from cheap rate overnight charging, compared to paying for petrol, its a no brainer just like her. Plus my car was bought second hand for $10000 l had it 5 years it has over 150 000 miles on the clock and battery is still 80 percent capacity. Its saved me a fortune compared to ice cars. If this girl actually did some research she would know ev are much cheaper in the long run, clearly she is lazy or ignorant or maybe she is just trying to get click bait.>> <<@melodypadilla2280 says : These vehicles cost more than the mobile mansion I live in😂 if I buy a car it's going to be the cheapest one I can afford.>> <<@stevewagner2552 says : Great tax credits and rebates = My tax dollars paying someone else to buy and support electric cars, instead of using those tax dollars for useful purposes. This is a crucial perspective on the next decade in transportation>> <<@dragonore2009 says : What's that noise at 8:02?>> <<@funtimes7305 says : a Hybrid if you can't afford it then just a regular gas vehicle.>> <<@donaldwang3145 says : You democrats voted for Biden so please enjoy his leadership and stop complaining.>> <<@ThatGuy-xg5hj says : We don't need a corporate president Democrat or Republican!>> <<@KGchannel01 says : I feel ya Ana! They get to virtue signal about climate change while shifting burdens disproportionately to the middle and working class. Pitting environmental progressives against economic populists. I have the same concerns about new NY State laws. We want to be more environmentally responsible, but we middle and working class can't shoulder the financial burden alone! Also, infrastructure needs to catch up a lot! In the meantime, my family hopes to have one gas vehicle for long range and one EV for daily commuting.>> <<@lareviawright4121 says : It's all fun and games until your $80,000, range anxiety inducing yard ornament needs a new battery.>> <<@j5nephews558 says : He cares so much about climate, yet he's raping Alaska and continues to pollute the Gulf of Mexico. In China, they will end up with the Turkish Moslem Uyghurs at "WORK" Camp; in India, they will be lucky to be ORDERED to leave their country and never return. China and India sure don't care! They are laughing at America! China is building 1 Huge Coal Powered Energy Plant, for power, EVERY WEEK! These Coal plants produce goods sold in the West. Do you really think that they care? Just look at the air and water quality in China's and India's major cities...then lecture America about Environmental Justice!>> <<@Dan16673 says : So tax on oil companies so gas prices go up and poor folks pay more?>> <<@Dan16673 says : Damn red pill ana. Watch out>> <<@Dan16673 says : Wont make. Next pres will switch all this>> <<@mongo_congo9908 says : Biden is a Liar and a Fool. Biden has sold out the USA to the Red Chinese with graft, bribes, and shakedowns. All automotive batteries' precious materials are mined in the Republic of the Congo, and China. The cobalt mines in the Congo are OWNED by Red China. The Cobalt is mined in the Congo with slaves and children in horrendous conditions. This cobalt for batteries only increases America's DEPENDENCE on China. Since Bidens Green New Deal wants no more mining for precious raw materials and natural resources in the USA to manufacture these batteries. These Batteries only have a useful life of 10 years. The replacement batteries cost over $20 K...all from China.>> <<@mongo_congo9908 says : Bidens latest speech at the White House Rose Garden...Biden is Creating a NEW Federal Department of Environmental JUSTICE in EVERY Federal Agency and Department by Executive Order. The DOJ will be responsible for enforcing these laws on Americans Citizens. More Biden Bureaucracy and red tape to CONTROL AMERICAN CITIZENS and create more "Do Nothing", high paying, no-show Federal Jobs at taxpayer expense. These are the same people that fly around on private jets leaving HUGE CARBON Footprints while lecturing you about gas stoves and using your gasoline-powered vehicles. Rules for thee...but NOT for me. Every State in the UNION has a DOE Protection Agency...in many cases like NYC, they have their own Departments of Environmental Protection, in addition to the state agencies. Just like the Federal Department of Education, loaded with Waste, Fraud, and Abuse...this is another effort to buy votes and create "Do Nothing" no-show jobs, all at taxpayer expense. Congress must put an end to this foolishness ASAP!>> <<@ghostoftoller51 says : Higher subsidies for individual people (twther than paying a corporation those subsidies to trickle down on us) for higher proced American made cars and parts I am okay with.>> <<@jjs1990 says : That’s the thing about the left — they expect money to fall from the sky to pay for all their lofty ambitions.>> <<@cislord8532 says : We will never stop climate change. 7 billion+ people on this planet consuming whatever we want. Might as well enjoy the ride. Fuck the politicians.>> <<@culturedboor says : Bottom line from your government: “We’re going to make it so that you have to be very very affluent to own a motor vehicle.” As usual, degree of affluence equals how much they feel you deserve anything better than pure crap in life. Period. And we haven’t even started talking about what the Repubs think yet.>> <<@jadapinkett1656 says : The green agenda has always been an elitist scam. There is no climate crisis, and climate change is largely a scam. But if you want to make people like Elon richer, have at it hoss.>> <<@jssamp4442 says : I've never heard Anna sound more right wing. Hitting all the Republican reasons against EVs.>> <<@jssamp4442 says : Forced?! Are they going to turn people upside-down and shake the change out of their pockets? Nobody is going to force anyone to buy a car. Anna, have you ever heard of alternates to cars for transportation? Like busses, bikes, or feet? You are freaking out over something that should have happened decades ago.>> <<@BridgetKF says : I blame both the Republicans and Democrats for that. NEITHER side was willing to do anything about climate for several decades. And now? Now we're screwed.>>
