The complaint alleges "Donald Trump repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal criminal conduct that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election." 34 counts of alleged wrongdoing were contained within the indictment. Now allow me to list of all of the legal problems and outright falsehoods with this indictment. 1. Each of the "34 counts" relate to ONE "hush money" payment to Stormy Daniels. 11 counts are related to invoices submitted to Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen. 11 counts are related to Trump using his funds to reimburse Michael Cohen. 12 counts are related to accounting records made for this reimbursement. In other words, it's not the ridiculous "34 counts", it's ONE count, repeated 34 different ways. But "34 counts" makes Trump sound worse-"34 allegations against him, surely he's done SOMETHING wrong." That is very disingenuous and misleading. 2. Alvin Bragg states 34 counts of crime were meant to "cover up" other crimes. Problem is Bragg has refused to say what these "other crimes" are. No other crime is listed in the indictment. This is a clear violation of the sixth amendment to not tell defendant what crimes he has allegedly violated. 3. The indictment states there was "Intent to commit or conceal another crime, including state and federal election laws". THREE problems with that. 1. In 2016, Trump ran for President, a FEDERAL election, so state laws do not apply here. 2. Bragg is a state prosecutor, and therefore does not have the jurisdiction to prosecute anyone for an alleged federal crime. 3. No election laws are specified in the indictment. 4. All allegations in the indictment occurred in 2017. Allegedly falsifying business records in 2017 does not affect an election that occurred in 2016! 5. The voting public CANNOT be deceived by internal business records that they did not see and were not even aware existed. 6. There is a five year statute of limitations in New York. The last allegation occurred in December, 2017, which means that the "crime" is no longer subject to prosecution and it's too late to bring charges. 7. Hush money payments are not illegal. It is not against the law to pay someone to be silent. 8. Finally, how ironic and downright hypocritical that this case is being brought in New York, where criminals run rampant. This prosecutor has downgraded numerous crimes from felonies to misdemeanors, allowed no bail for serious crimes, and declined to prosecute over 1,000 felony cases, all of which has led to skyrocketing crime. But one ALLEGED MISDEMEANOR six years ago is what he decides to prosecute.>> <<@Everson1969 says : Everything is a lie.
